Why Can't I See Twitter Comments

Twitter is one of the top social networking platforms, does not have an interface that is easy to use when it comes to reading comments.

You will see four options under any tweet made by the people you follow if you access your Twitter feed. These four tweet options are response/comment, retweet, like, and share.

So basically, as we see on Facebook, there is no easy way to see other users comment on that tweet

Therefore, every user is confused while finding comments or replies to tweets. This article will walk you through how to read comments on Twitter on multiple devices.

You can't imagine them like that. You just need to find the best approach because Twitter doesn't explicitly display feedback under tweets as Facebook shows below their updates. So it must not be very clear, and you should wonder how to read comments on Twitter.

When you press the "Comment" button to see the responses, Twitter opens a dialog box for you, instead of showing you all the answers provided by other people.

Here is a brief notice on nomenclature before you venture through the technical procedure. When talking about messages, the phrases 'comment' and 'replyt' are used interchangeably. The reply is the official function name that would thus be included in this post, although all of them are appropriate.

If you want to see a tweet's responses on a mobile platform, download the software is a perfect way. Twitter has a smartphone website, but it doesn't vary considerably from the app, and you may have to navigate the app better. Phase one is to download the software, sign up with your account, and then follow the following instructions. Users of iOS can install the app from the App Store, and users of Android may access it from Google Play.

  • Look for the tweet for which you would like responses. Do this through the search bar or check the accounts that you are watching.
  • Click on the tweet text anywhere. You must tap the text accurately since any of the interactive components can generate a different outcome. More later on.

This is the whole operation. When you press the email, responses are seen on a new tab. The responses will be shown in sequential order, the newest responses will be shown on top and the oldest ones can be viewed.

The response on a computer is very similar by design to that on a mobile platform. Of course, for Windows and macOS both, there are Twitter applications, but you better use your web browser. Open your browser and browse the Twitter website. Follow these steps once you are logged in:

  • Find the tweet for which you are trying to see answers.
  • To see comments, click anywhere on the text. The answers are opened in the same tab.

The above methods give you instructions to see answers — and only answers — to a tweet. Comments can, however, be added to retweets, making them a kind of answer. A "retweet with comments" works much as a tweet does but refers to the tweet about which it comments. The distinction between response and retweeting is not the subject of this article, but it is sufficient to say that they serve very different ends.

Once you already know how to read comments on Twitter and you want to see the retweets on your computer with comments, you better do that. It can be made on a mobile device from the Twitter mobile website, but not from the mobile app. The process begins much like the previous two. Navigate to your browser's tweet and follow the following steps:

  • Right-click the tweet timestamp to be displayed in the top right corner of the tweet.
  • From the dropdown menu, select Copy Link Address. The exact phrase may slightly change based on your browser but you want to copy the link.
  • Click Enter to paste the link address into the search bar of the Twitter.

Now you will see all the retweets with comments. Often people retweet rather than answer to give a tweet a higher exposure that leads to many of the relevant comments in the retweets. There can be a lot more retweets than answers, so be aware that if you are looking for something specific, you'll be browsing long.

These methods work on Twitter apps from third parties, such as Owly or Hootsuite (Google Play, App Store).

    Final thoughts

You are now ready to engage Twitter like a pro and know how to read comments on Twitter. The answer to a tweet is as straightforward as tapping or clicking on the text. Seeing all the retweets that have comments is a bit more important, but hardly a challenge.

Remember that clicking on anything interactive in the tweet will lead you to that related object. This includes any "@" answers as well as links and buttons for Twitter interaction. To see replies and retweets you have to click on the text itself or right-click the timeline.
